Pulse rate check online (free)
Two ways to check your pulse right now — with your camera or your fingers — and how to read the result.

You don't need a smartwatch to know your pulse. A phone camera can see the faint colour change in your skin with every heartbeat.
Option 1: camera check (60 seconds)
- Sit down and rest for a minute.
- Face soft, even light — a window in front of you works well.
- Rest the phone at eye level and keep your face in the frame.
- Stay still and breathe normally until the scan ends.
Option 2: by hand
Press two fingers lightly on the thumb side of your inner wrist. Count beats for 30 seconds and double it. Don't use your thumb — it has its own pulse.
What your number means
A resting adult pulse of 60–100 bpm is the usual range. Regular exercisers are often 50–60. Caffeine, stress, fever, heat and dehydration all raise it for a while.
